The Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPACS) is located within Conrad Grebel University College at the University of Waterloo. The Institute houses some amazing projects that help promote sustainable peace both locally and throughout the world.

Project Ploughshares investigates the economic and political consequences of militarism, monitoring regional conflicts and arms flows and undertaking "citizen diplomacy" projects. Network: Interaction for Conflict Resolution provides a network for community justice and conflict resolution programs across Canada.

Like many other folks in North America, I experienced a wide range of feelings brought on by the events of 9/11/2001. In response, I wanted to do something to help foster understanding of the root causes of conflict. After chatting with the director of IPACS, I decided to donate a percentage of CD sales towards the building of a new Canadian Centre for Conflict Research. This Centre will house the Institute's various projects and programs for understanding and resolving conflict.
